Jadwiga S. Bell, 96, of the Highlands, passed away Wednesday, September 14, at the Eastern Star Home. She was a native of Poland. She met her late husband Theodore James Bell in Germany. They were married in 1946, and came to the United States in 1948. They had 3 children. She was retired from the Baptist Hospital, loved to cook for her family, and garden. But most of all, she dearly loved her family and her church family. She was a long time member of Deer Park Baptist Church.

She is survived by her 3 loving children; Barbara Sanders, Irene Bell, and Theodore James Bell, her 3 grandchildren; Dale Sanders, Kylene Bell, and Courtney Nasby, her 2 great-grandsons; Tyler Sanders and Lionel Nasby, and her great-great-granddaughter Piper Sanders. Services to celebrate Mrs. Bell's life will be held at 10 am Monday by Dr. David Platt, in the chapel of Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home, 2428 Frankfort Ave. with interment to follow at Zachary Taylor National Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 2-7 pm.
