Dale Edward Cooper, 89, of Crescent Hill, passed away Saturday, Nov. 26, at home. He was a World War II veteran of the US Navy. He was a retired switchman at the K & I and Norfolk Southern Railroad for 42 years. Dale loved to garden and grow his tomatoes and roses, and was a avid sports fan. He was a kind gentle guy who always had a smile, and showed his generosity to everyone he met.

Dale Edward Cooper, 89, of Crescent Hill, passed away Saturday, Nov. 26, at home. He was a World War II veteran of the US Navy. He was a retired switchman at the K & I and Norfolk Southern Railroad for 42 years. Dale loved to garden and grow his tomatoes and roses, and was a avid sports fan. He was a kind gentle guy who always had a smile, and showed his generosity to everyone he met.

He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Lora Cooper, and brothers Orland and Richard Cooper, and sister Peggy Sue Simmons

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Beverly Jackson Cooper, his daughter Lisa Cooper ( Glen Cooper II), 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, his sister Patricia Davis (Richard), and many nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate Dale's life will be held at Noon Thursday in the chapel of Arch L. Heady-Cralle, 2428 Frankfort Ave. with burial at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation will be 2-8 pm Wednesday, and after 11 am Thursday.

In lieu of flowers expressions of sympathy are requested to Hosparus of Louisville.
